Versa is providing an end-to-end solution that both simplifies and secures every network edge, be it on LAN, WAN, or Cloud network.

The goal of Versa Networks is to provide unprecedented business advantages through a software-based approach that allows for unmatched agility, cost savings and scaling. We have created a feature-rich, scalable yet simple to use software platform to implement many different enterprise and service provider use cases, including:
·      Full software-defined branch for enterprise customers.
·      Secure SD-WAN and SD-LAN for enterprises with layered security.
·      Next-generation managed services for service providers.

Experience -  at least 5 years recent experience in developing security solutions like Endpoint Detection and Response Engines, Anti-Virus Engines, Endpoint Monitoring Solutions for Linux

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Linux Kernel Developer to join our engineering team, focusing on building and maintaining low-level components for endpoint security solutions such as EDR, malware detection engines, runtime behavior monitors, and integrity enforcement tools. This role requires deep expertise in Linux kernel internals, kernel module development, and strong familiarity with security concepts.

Key Responsibilities

·      Design and develop Linux kernel modules and eBPF-based components for monitoring and enforcement.
·      Implement low-level hooks and tracepoints to capture file, process, memory, and network events.
·      Build and maintain real-time monitoring infrastructure (e.g., using LSM, Netfilter, eBPF, fanotify/inotify, ptrace).
·      Work closely with the threat research and userland teams to support detection logic and telemetry pipelines.
·      Develop kernel-space and user-space communication mechanisms (Netlink, procfs, ioctls).
·      Analyze and debug system crashes, kernel panics, and performance issues.
·      Build hardened, tamper-resistant, and stealth-capable components to support security products.

Experience

·      5+ years of experience in Linux kernel development, preferably in a production environment.
·      Proficiency in C for low-level and kernel module development.
·      Strong understanding of Linux kernel internals, including task management, VFS, memory management (kmalloc/slab), namespaces, cgroups, and syscalls.
·      Experience with LSM, eBPF/XDP, Kprobes, Netfilter, or auditd.
·      Hands-on experience with system call hooking, runtime inspection, or process injection techniques.
·      Strong skills with gdb

Good To Have

·      Prior experience working on Linux security solutions such as EDR agents, AV engines, rootkit detectors, or compliance enforcement tools.
·      Familiarity with Linux malware behaviors, IoT malware, exploit techniques, anti-debugging, and code obfuscation.
·      Experience building self-defense mechanisms and stealth drivers.
·      Knowledge of container and cloud runtime security (Docker, Kubernetes, eBPF-based container monitoring).
·      Familiarity in one or more of the following - SELinux, AppArmor, LSM module development.
·      Contributions to open-source kernel/security projects or published security research.

Why Join Us
·      Become the go-to application and infrastructure security expert within the dev team.
·      Work on high-impact products using cutting-edge cloud and container technologies.
·      Influence design, architecture, and delivery with a security-first approach.
